ELYRIA, Ohio — An Avon Lake man is facing charges for allegedly biting another man's ear at a motel in Elyria.
Errol James Young, 30, has been charged with felonious assault, according to an Elyria court records.
Officers responded to a motel in the 500 block of Griswold Road just after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
An Elyria police report states that Young and a 24-year-old man got into a fight while inside one of the rooms. Young told officers that the victim allegedly bit him on the hand and, in return, Young allegedly bit the victim back, possibly severing his ear from his head.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
While on scene, officers learned that Young had an outstanding warrant out of Parma. Police arrested Young without incident.
Young is scheduled to appear in court on May 30.
