LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio — Dangerous swimming conditions have prompted a Beach Hazards Statement for multiple Northeast Ohio counties.
The hazard is in effect until 10 p.m. for Lorain, Lake, Erie, Cuyahoga and Ashtabula counties.
The Beach Hazards Statement is issued when there is a risk for swimming because of large waves and rip currents.
The current swimming risks can create life threatening conditions even for good swimmers.
