Dozens of North Ridgeville residents report missing absentee voting ballots

The U.S. Postal Service is investigating after the Lorain County Board of Elections reported dozens of complaints about residents in North Ridgeville not receiving absentee voting ballots.

Around 40 complaints have been filed so far, all specifically from the city of North Ridgeville, Lorain County Board of Elections officials said.

According to the LCBOE, the ballots were mailed out on Oct. 10, the same day the ballots were issued. The missing ballots are being investigated by the Cleveland post office branch. 

The board of elections is currently in the process of issuing new ballots to the residents they received complaints from.

Anyone in North Ridgeville or Lorain County who has not received an absentee ballot is asked to contact the Lorain County Board of Elections at 440-326-5948.
