Debra Majkut and her baby were on their couch in 2015 when a car crashed through their Amherst Township home and landed on them, killing Majkut and critically injuring her baby.
On Thursday, the woman responsible for Majkut's death was granted early release.
Adrianna Young was sentenced to four and a half years and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and possession of marijuana.
Young has served eight months.
Debra's husband, James Majkut, wrote a letter to the judge last month, urging him to make the woman serve her entire sentence.
"I should have enough letters from the community, family and friends to just stand beside me and behind me saying that it would be nice to see her do her full sentence. You are not rehabilitated after six months," Majkut said at the time.
