ELYRIA, Ohio — Two people were arrested Thursday morning following raids at residences in Elyria aimed at targeting drug trafficking operations in the city.
Joshua M. Novak, 27, has been charged with two counts of trafficking in drugs, two counts of possession of drugs, possession of criminal tools and carrying concealed weapons, according to authorities.
Christopher W. Howse, 27, has been charged with trafficking in drugs, tampering with evidence, possession of criminal tools and possession of marijuana, authorities said.
Members of the Elyria police department, Cleveland Division of the FBI and special response teams from Lorain and Elyria converged on two locations simultaneously. Novak was arrested in the 120 block of Tedman Court and Howse was arrested in the 6300 block of Gateway Boulevard.
During the raids, authorities seized heroin, cocaine, marijuana and a handgun. Additionally, around $7,200 in cash was seized.
