All football and volleyball players at Elyria Catholic High School have also been required to move to remote learning until Oct. 29, the school said.

Elyria Catholic High School said it has been working very closely with the Lorain County Board of Health and the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland to make the decisions on actions surrounding the positive COVID-19 cases at the school and did so with the best interest of the faculty, students, saff and family in mind.

The school said the goal is to stop the spread of the virus in the community and make sure everyone is safe.
