ELYRIA, Ohio — Elyria City Schools announced the commencement ceremony for the high school has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The ceremony, originally scheduled for Wednesday, has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 6 at 7:00 p.m.
Graduation practice was also canceled and rescheduled for Thursday, June 6 at 9:00 a.m.
In a Facebook post, the district apologized for the inconvenience the rescheduling may have caused parents and students.
"We apologize for inconveniences this may cause but safety is of the utmost importance and the unstable weather patterns tomorrow require us to delay the ceremony until Thursday, June 6, when it appears the weather will have cleared. Thank you for your understanding."
