ELYRIA, Ohio — Emergency crews responded Friday afternoon after a fire was reported at a manufacturing facility in Elyria.
Firefighters were called to Lear Romec, 241 South Abbey Road, for a fire contained to a single room. While on scene, another fire was reported in a second room, authorities said.
The area around the facility was blocked off and employees were evacuated from the building, authorities said.
According to the company’s website, Lear Romec manufactures “oil, fuel, and coolant pumps used in aircraft, gas turbine engines and radar cooling systems."
