LORAIN, Ohio — On Small Business Saturday, small businesses in Lorain welcomed shoppers to the annual Cookie Crawl, which went on as usual, aside from the new addition of face masks and social distancing.

More than 20 small businesses participated in the event that gave shoppers a free, individually wrapped cookie from Spectrum Catering as well as offered holiday photo opportunities for those out and about.

Shoppers were required to wear a mask when entering establishments and capacity at stores were limited to achieve social distancing.

“In a year where nothing is typical, all the small businesses still wanted to host the Cookie Crawl while adhering to Covid-19 safety precautions,” said Jevon Terance, owner of Jevon Terance Fashion Line, in a pres release.

Shoppers not only got to enjoy another Cookie Crawl event on Saturday but got to experience the results of Downtown Lorain’s beautification project that has turned the city into a winter wonderland.
