LORAIN, Ohio — A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in Lorain early Thursday morning, according to the Lorain Police Department.
The shooting happened in the 500 block of Washington Avenue around 12:13 a.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the boy with a gunshot wound and administered first aid. He was transported to a nearby hospital and later died.
The boy’s name has not been released.
Authorities have not released any additional details about the shooting.
