LORAIN, Ohio — Police are investigating the shooting death of an 18-year-old Lorain resident on the city’s South Side Monday night.
Shortly before 11 p.m., police responded for a male shot in the 2100 block of East 31 Street in Lorain.
The victim, identified as Gabriel A. Belvins, of Lorain, was found outside with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was taken to Mercy Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Antonio Monticue, 23, of East 31st Street, has been charged with tampering with evidence, following his interference during the investigation, according to police.
Police said no one else has been charged in connection to this crime.
This is an ongoing investigation.
