LORAIN, Ohio — UPDATE: The missing girl was located by a neighbor near her residence. She is being reunited with her family, according to an update from police.

The Lorain Police Department issued an alert for a missing nonverbal 6-year-old girl with autism who walked away from home, police said in a news release.
The 6-year-old girl walked away from the 1100 block of West 8th Street early Monday morning.
She was last seen wearing a purple dress with pink flowers on it. She was also wearing a diaper.
