Multiple Lorain Police Department arrests followed an investigation targeting gang members it thought were responsible for a spike in violent crimes in the past several months.
Two suspected gang members were arrested over the weekend and two more suspects were taken into custody Monday. Six members were already in jail when police took the results of an investigation to the Lorain County Grand Jury and obtained indictments, authorities stated.
Police are anticipating more alleged gang arrests in the near future.
The two people taken in custody over the weekend were arrested at the Berkshire Apartments at 1625 E. 29th St.
"The Berkshire Apartments have become a haven for gang members and central location for their criminal activity," police said.
Police stated the specific charges on arrested people are:
