LORAIN, Ohio — A man accused of animal cruelty pleaded guilty to all charges in court on Wednesday, according to the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas.
Ellison Morris, 37, was charged with animal cruelty after he and his girlfriend Amanda Pippens, 34, were evicted and left their two dogs at the house to fend for themselves.
A neighbor's child discovered two emaciated dogs left in the yard of the home on Washington Avenue.

One of the dogs did not survive the ordeal and later died.
Morris withdrew his plea of not guilty and pleaded guilty to two counts of cruelty to a companion animal, one count of cruelty to animals and one count of abandoning animals.
Morris was sentenced to one year of probation.
