Lorain police are investigating the death of a woman who was reported missing on Wednesday.
Officers were called Thursday to a home on Packard Drive to follow up on the missing person complaint.
While at the scene, detectives learned that the homeowner, who was the romantic partner of the missing person, had not been seen in several days.
Officers went into the home to check on the homeowner and found two people on the kitchen floor.
The missing 44-year-old woman was dead. The 74-year-old homeowner was alive but unresponsive.
The woman's death is being investigated as a homicide.
No other details were immediately available.
