More than 2,000 residents in Lorain County are without power.
According to First Energy's website, the largest outages are in Lorain and South Amherst.
According to the South Amherst Fire Department, a main transformer blew at 7:45 a.m.
The traffic lights in downtown South Amherst are not working.
Officials want to remind drivers that any non-working traffic light becomes a four-way stop.
According to First Energy's website, power should be restored by 11 a.m.
