Oberlin's football game against Wellington was canceled for this upcoming Friday due to injuries.
The decision was made by the Oberlin City School District Athletic Director Bryce Johnson Thursday morning.
“Our players have experienced an increase in injuries this week,” Johnson said. “For the safety of our players, we have decided to cancel the game against the Wellington High School Dukes. We will look at the possibility of rescheduling the game.”
Additionally, Friday's game between John Adams College and Career Academy and University School was canceled because John Adams only has 10 players available to play due to illness, according to CMSD officials.
