EATON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Two people were killed in a three-vehicle fatal crash in Eaton Township on Saturday evening, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The driver of a 2016 Toyota Corolla was headed east on state Route 82 and attempted to pass a 2016 Honda CR-V.
The Toyota collided head-on with a 2016 Kia Soul that was headed west on SR 82. The Toyota went airborne and struck the Honda. The Honda and Kia both then struck the guardrails, troopers said.
The driver of the Toyota, later identified as 48-year-old Richard Dublin of Cleveland, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the Kia, later identified as Oscar Deleon of Lorain, also suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene, authorities said.
The driver of the Honda was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger of the Honda was also taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, according to troopers.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
