A pedestrian who was struck by a semi on I-90 eastbound in Avon near mile marker 151 on Thursday afternoon has died. Mile marker 151 is near the SR-611 interchange.
The victim, Douglas Clark, 58, was transported to a University Hospital in Avon but later died from his injuries. According to witnesses, Clark was seen outside of his car before entering the marked travel lanes where he was hit by the semi.
The eastbound lanes of I-90 eastbound were shut down during the crash investigation but have since reopened.
The incident remains under investigation.
