LORAIN, Ohio — Police departments in Lorain County are joining forces to help collect new, used and gently worn shoes for its Frontline United Initiative.
The shoe drive is a 60-day fundraiser to collect shoes that will be donated to impoverished countries. The Frontline United Initiative will earn funds based on the number of pairs collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated goods.
Shoes can be dropped off at the following locations:
- Wellington Police Department on Aug. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 117 Willard Memorial Square.
- Avon Police Department on Aug. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at 36145 Detroit Road in Avon
- Lorain Police Department at 200 West Erie Avenue in Lorain.
