ELYRIA, Ohio — A trio in Elyria was arrested Thursday following a multiagency narcotics investigation into the sale of cocaine and fentanyl in the city.
Nicholas Wittcop, 37, has been charged with two counts of possession of drugs, two counts of trafficking in drugs and possessing criminal tools.
Tara Abbe, 30, has been charged with trafficking in drugs and possessing drug abuse instruments.
William Frederick, 57, has been charged with permitting drug abuse.
According to Elyria police, Wittcop was selling crack cocaine and fentanyl out of a residence in the 100 block of Woodridge Drive where the three of them lived.
Frederick told authorities that he “allowed” Wittcop to sell drugs out of the house and bought heroin off him to give to Abbe, who is his girlfriend, police said.
Authorities said they located "numerous new and used hypodermic needles, prescription pills, multiple scales and cash" from the residence.
The investigation was conducted by the Elyria Police Department Detective Bureau and the Cleveland Division of the FBI.
