Police looking for man who seriously injured two people in Elyria hit-skip involving stolen car

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is looking for a man believed to be the driver of a hit-skip that seriously injured two people on Nov. 24.

According to authorities, the man was driving a stolen 2015 Jeep Wrangler southbound on Lake Avenue around 11 a.m. when he drove left of center and struck a 2010 Ford Flex.

The Jeep's driver exited the car and ran southbound on Lake Avenue, police said. He was later captured on surveillance video buying an item at Lake Beverage.

The suspect is described as a thinly built dark-skinned male about 20 to 25 years old. He stands about 6-foot-tall and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, gray shirt, red baseball hat, white and gray shoes and black lanyard.
