AMHERST, Ohio — Amherst Village Schools said Powers Elementary school will be closed Wednesday and Thursday after a boiler malfunction shut off the heat in the building.
The district evacuated the building Tuesday morning after the problem was noticed.
All other elementary schools in the district will be open.
Wednesday's second grade visitation to the new Powers Elementary School has been canceled, but the third grade visitation on Thursday will happen as planned.
