LORAIN, Ohio — Republic Steel in Lorain has announced it will start production at its rolling mill later this year.
The plant was initially set to start production this past December but was delayed due to imports remaining at “historically high levels for products produced on this mill,” according to the company.
More than 60 employees have already been hired and trained. The mill has also undergone an extensive refurbishment, a company spokesperson said.
