LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a minor airplane crash that occurred at the Lorain County Regional Airport Sunday afternoon.
Around 12:15 p.m., the pilot of a Navion aircraft was attempting to land at the Lorain County Regional Airport, troopers said.
The pilot failed to lower his landing gear and the plane slid off the right side of the landing strip, according to troopers.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash and there was only minor damage to the aircraft, troopers said.
Neither alcohol or drugs are believed to be a factor in the crash.
The incident is currently under investigation.
