Two children suffered minor injuries when a ride malfunctioned at the North Ridgeville Corn Festival Friday evening.
The North Ridgeville Fire Department responded to the festival around 9:10 p.m. after someone called, saying that a ride had malfunctioned and an ambulance was needed.
Fire department officials later learned that the low-speed ride had made an abrupt stop due to a car coming off of a track. There were approximately five people on the ride at the time.
Two children with minor injuries were examined and released to their parents.
As a safety precaution, the ride has been closed for the remainder of the weekend.
The Ohio Department of Agriculture Division of Amusement Ride Safety will investigate.
