Two men have been charged in connection with a burglary and subsequent homicide of a woman that happened inside her Lorain home on Tuesday. Authorities have charged Lorenzo Garcia, 31, of Elyria, and Antonio J. Martinez, 24, of Lorain, with aggravated murder.
The burglary happened at a residence on the 3600 block of Amherst Avenue. When police arrived just after 10 p.m., they found Linda Wisniewski, 67, dead in her home.
Police also found another resident seriously injured. A 25-year-old man was taken to a Cleveland-area hospital for treatment. He remains in critical condition, according to authorities.
Police said they are not seeking any additional suspects for the crime, but they are continuing to investigate.
