U.S. Marshals capture teen wanted in crash that hurt 3 people

LORAIN, Ohio — A teenager sought by the U.S. Marshals Service for allegedly causing a crash that injured three people while he was fleeing from police has been arrested.

Javiaan Davis, 18, was taken into custody by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Lorain County Drug Task Force.

The crash happened on April 13 at just after 7 p.m. Authorities said that Davis lost control of a car he was driving and collided with another vehicle with three people inside. Following the crash, Davis fled on foot. An open bottle of alcohol and a handgun were found at the crash site.

The other car’s occupants were transported to a nearby hospital and then flown to MetroHealth in Cleveland.

According to authorities, Davis was also wanted for charges of aggravated vehicular assault, having weapons under disability and carrying a concealed weapon.

Previously, Davis had been charged with contempt of court relating to an inducing panic charge for making terroristic threats against a public high school.
