ELYRIA, Ohio — The United States Marshals and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force have joined the search for a man wanted for allegedly shooting and killing a man near an Elyria residence Tuesday morning.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Ivan L. Brooks, 34, who is wanted for allegedly shooting and killing Terrence Taylor, 45, in the 800 block of West Broad Street in Elyria.
Police found Taylor on the ground behind the front door of a residence with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, police said. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Brooks is approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. His last known address is in the 3300 block of Lexington Avenue in Lorain. He is considered armed and dangerous and is known to frequent the area of Eastlawn Street in Lorain.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED. A reward is available for information that leads to the arrest of Brooks.
