VERMILION, Ohio — The dog that went missing after a house fire in Vermilion is still on the run, according to the Vermilion Police Department.

The last reported sighting of Shelby was on June 18, police said.

It’s been more than two weeks since the June 7 house fire near Roanoke Drive and Regina Drive.

Police said witnesses have spotted Shelby in the area of Sunnyside Road, Shady Lake Drive and the Vermilion Farm Market.

Shelby is skittish so attempts to catch her or call her may scare her off and hinder recovery efforts, according to police.

Police still ask that anyone who sees Shelby not attempt to catch her and rather call police at 440-967-6116 so they can pass the information on to Shelby’s family.
