AVON, Ohio — A woman has been charged for her involvement in a wrong-way crash on I-90 in Avon that sent her and another driver to the hospital.

Jennifer Quinn has been charged with aggravated vehicular assault, a third degree felony, operating a motor while under the influence, reckless operation and driving the wrong way on a divided roadway, according to Avon police.

On Jan. 2, Quinn, allegedly while under the influence, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes on I-90 just east of State Route 611 (Colorado Avenue) when she struck another vehicle head-on, Avon police said.

Officers took Quinn into custody after she was released from University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center on Jan. 15.

Quinn posted a $5,000 bond and was released. Her next court date is set for 9:00 a.m. on Jan. 22 at Avon Lake Municipal Court.

Police said there is no update on the condition of the driver who was struck by Quinn.
