LORAIN, Ohio — A woman in Lorain was found inside of a vacant home dead Wednesday morning.
Police said the woman was discovered in a home in the 2100 block of Elyria Avenue.
A Lorain building inspector found the woman when he was checking the residence to make sure no one was inside due to the below zero temperatures.
When he checked the upstairs bedroom, he found the woman laying in the bed.
The building inspector said he did not know the woman's name, but saw her at the same residence a year ago. He said he told her that the home was unsafe and that she needed to leave, according to police.
The house had no heat, there was snow inside of the house and everything in the house was frozen solid.
Police said there were no signs of foul play.
