CLEVELAND — A woman has died in a crash on State Route 606, just west of Kellogg Road, according to a release from the Medina Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash on State Route 606 near Kellogg Road in Hinckley Township.
A Honda Accord was heading westbound on State Route 606 near Kellogg Road when it crossed the center line and drove off the south side of the roadway before coming to a rest in a ditch.
The 42-year-old driver was uninjured, but her passenger, 66-year-old Nadine Myers, was transported to Brunswick Medical Center where she died.
Myers was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the release states.
Authorities said alcohol and drug use appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
No charges have been filed at this time. The Medina County Coroner's Office is investigating the cause of death.
