MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after a 57-year-old Homerville resident was killed in a crash in Medina County on Tuesday.
The crash happened on US-224 at Vandemark Road in Harrisville Township, located in Medina County.
According to state troopers, a 57-year-old Homerville resident, identified as Kefton Donley, was traveling northbound on Vandemark Road when another vehicle driven by a 20-year-old man Seven Hills resident was traveling eastbound on US-224 in the right lane.
The 57-year-old driver failed to yield from the stop sign and was struck by the 20-year-old's vehicle.
Both vehicles went off the roadway and into a grassy median after impact.
The 57-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 20-year-old driver did not sustain any injuries, but his passenger was transported with minor injuries to Lodi Hospital.
Alcohol does not seem to be a factor in the crash and both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The crash remains under investigation.
