A kayaker out on Chippewa Lake in Medina County Tuesday discovered a man's body in the water.

Frank Webber said the body appeared to be that of a middle-aged white man who was fully clothed and had been submerged for an extended period of time.

“Maybe he has a wife and a family," Webber said. "Maybe they want to know what happened to him, so God brought me here today. It was good, good that I found him. I hope that helps people."

The Medina County Sheriff's Office would not comment on the identity of the body.

Crews were seen Tuesday afternoon in the area where missing Lafayette Township trustee Bryon Macron's car was found.

"When I heard about it I had an inclination that was the person that was found," Medina County resident, Zach Carlson, said.

Carlson was talking about missing Township trustee, Bryon Macron. Gone since mid-December.

According to authorities, Macron's office was left a mess and they found blood inside.

His car last seen, right by where the body was pulled from the lake.

According to our media partners at the Akron Beacon Journal, Macron's wife was at the scene.

Macron was last seen in December at a social function with co-workers. Blood was later found in his office, where investigators said it appeared there was an altercation.

The autopsy will be performed at the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office.
