Medina Police made a gruesome discovery overnight, finding a family of three dead inside their home, in what appears to be a murder-suicide.
The discovery happened Friday night around 11 p.m. on Pinewood Drive.
Police said a married couple along with their adopted special needs child were found dead. Police received a call and broke down the front door to the home.
The family's next door neighbor, Ricardo Rodriguez, told newsnet5.com he watched police raid the home, remove the bodies and tow away the couple's SUV.
He said the odor was unlike anything he's ever smelled.
"It smelled very rotten-smelling, very potent," Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez just moved in a couple of weeks ago and said he had little interaction with the family and did not know their names.
Police said all three bodies have been taken to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office for identification and autopsies.
