MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio — Multiple turtles and tortoises died in a shed fire in Medina County Wednesday, according to the Medina County Fire Department.
The crew was able to put out the fire quickly.
There were 10 turtles and two tortoises living inside of the shed.
The fire department carries oxygen masks that are designed to be used on animals.
Unfortunately, about half of the turtles died, according to the fire department.
Firefighters believe that one of the heating elements used for the turtles started the fire.
