WADSWORTH, Ohio — Wadsworth High School’s upcoming JV and Varsity football games against Stow-Munroe Falls, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, have been postponed after a player tested positive for COVID-19, the school said.

A member of the football team tested positive for the virus, prompting the decision to postpone the upcoming games, as well as all practices until contact tracing is completed by the Medina County Health Department, according to the school.

Wadsworth City Schools said that the health department may determine that some individuals require a mandatory 14-day quarantine, which will be determined during the contact tracing.

The school did not say if or when the game against Stow-Munroe Falls will be played.
