PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio — The Ravenna School District is mourning the loss of two of its students who were killed in a fatal crash in Portage County Sunday afternoon.
Christine Shead, 12, and Evey Montecalvo, 12, died as a result of the crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Two other students in the district were injured in the crash.
“We are deeply saddened to have lost people who were students, siblings, loved ones, and friends,” the district said.
Ravenna School District said it will be making counselors available to any student who wants to talk.
“Please keep the families and loved ones impacted by this tragedy - including those who are in the hospital - in your thoughts and prayers - especially throughout this holiday season," the district said.
