Authorities are looking for the man responsible for assaulting a female bicyclist while she was riding along the Berlin Hike and Bike Trail on Thursday evening.
According to authorities, the assault happened on a portion of the trail located off State Route 224 in Deerfield, around 6 p.m. Police said the woman was "seriously assaulted." She was later helped by hikers who found her on the trail after she was attacked.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s. He stands about 6-feet-tall and weighs between 175 and 200 pounds. The man has short curly brown hair. According to police, the man may be driving a gray older model Pontiac Bonneville.
Police are urging anyone who was on the trail yesterday evening between 4 and 7 p.m. or with information to contact them at 330-296-5100.
