Police have arrested a man who allegedly approached a group of children in Mansfield and offered them a piece of candy.
Authorities say a concerned mother called police, saying her children were approached by a man who said he would give them a piece of candy but they would have to come with him to get it.
The mother reported that the man was walking through an alley in the area of 282 South Main Street when he approached the kids.
Mansfield police said Thursday that a suspect had been arrested in the case. According to police, the man had four outstanding warrants out of Crawford County.
Police said the man denied allegations of trying to lure children.
