PLAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Authorities in Stark County are investigating the shooting death of a 29-year-old woman in Plain Township.
Around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Deputies from the Stark County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home Frazier Avenue NW.
They found 29-year-old Morgan Fox inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to her head.
Hours after the shooting, Stark County Coroner Anthony Bertin said foul play was suspected. A press release from the sheriff's office later in the day confirmed the case was a homicide.
Deputies believe Fox was about to drive to her job when she was shot.

Neighbors said Fox was a mother, but Stantz said no children were at the home when deputies responded to the shooting.
Her employer, FedEx, gave News 5 the following statement:

Fox was a former employee of BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse in North Canton.
General Manager Patrick Sobieski said, "We are deeply saddened by this tragedy and the loss of Morgan. Our hearts and thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this time."
