Canton police are investigating a fatal crash involving three cars early Friday morning.
The crash happened at 2:30 a.m. on Tuscarawas Street West when two vehicles collided head-on.
A black 2005 Ford Taurus was pulling out onto Tuscarawas Street West from Claremont Avenue NW, when it was struck by a 2009 Chevrolet Impala heading westbound.
Police said the driver of the Ford Taurus, a 53-year-old woman from Canton, was pronounced dead at Aultman Hospital.
One of the occupants was taken to Mercy Medical Center while the other three were taken to Aultman Hospital with serious injuries.

Tuscarawas St West was closed from Maryland to Bellflower Avenues. Though alcohol is believed to be a factor, the crash remains under investigation.
