Gas prices may be on the rise in Northeast Ohio, but they are still lower than nationally

CLEVELAND — Gas prices are on the rise in Ohio.

AAA said the national average across Northeast Ohio is a penny higher this week at $2.676 per gallon.

Gas prices are fluctuating across the Great Lakes and central states, according to AAA.

Last week, the average price of gas in Northeast Ohio was $2.668.

Massillon had the lowest gas price in the area with an average of $2.543, while Willard had the highest gas price in the area with $2.845.

Nationally, the price of gas increased by four cents to $2.88, which is the highest gas price average of the year.
