MASSILLON, Ohio — A 25-year-old man is accused of using Facebook Messenger to solicit sex with a girl he believed was 12 years old, according to court records from Massillon Municipal Court.
Peter Umbarger is charged with importuning, attempt to commit unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, according to court records.
Umbarger allegedly asked the girl to have vaginal, anal and oral sex with him.
According to court records, he is also accused of sending a photograph of his erect penis to the girl he believed was 12 years old.
The Canton Repository reports Umbarger thought he was meeting up with the girl, but was instead arrested by officers on Wednesday at a fast-food restaurant in the 1100 block of Lincoln Way East.
Umbarger is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 27 for his arraignment.
