NORTH CANTON, Ohio — North Canton police arrested two people accusing of robbing a pizza shop and running over an employee.
The incident happened at 10 p.m. at Zepp's Pizza on South Main Street.
The employee told police that a man and woman entered the store and he told them they were closed. He went into the back for a minute and when he returned, he realized the tip jar was gone.
The employee went outside to confront the suspects, when he was struck in the face, according to the police report. The car proceeded to drive away and ran over the victim's leg.
Around 2:30 a.m., police arrested Garrison Hoover, 25, and Tiffany Stephan, 40.
The duo was at Mercy Medical Center after the victim injured Hoover.
The victim was also being treated at Mercy Medical Center and was able to identify them.
They were arrested without incident.
Police are still searching for the person who drove the getaway car.
