PERRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A local flower shop is calling it quits after 94 years in the business, according to News 5's media partners at the Canton Repository.
Barbato Flowers and Greenhouse will be auctioned at 10 a.m. on Sept. 14.
Joe Barbato, owner of the business, died of a hearth attack on Sept. 15, 2017 while working in one of the greenhouses. Before his death, Barbato had instructed his wife to close the shop if anything ever happened to him.
Jean Barbato kept the business running for another year, until a storm hit.
She said that was a sign from above to close the business.
