Stark Co. Commissioners scheduled to meet with BOE to discuss purchase of Dominion voting equipment

CANTON, Ohio — Right now Dominion Voting Systems, and its equipment, are at the center of controversy after the voting machines were scrutinized during the 2020 Presidential election. Former President Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, is being sued by the company in a $1 billion defamation lawsuit for claims he made in press conferences and online, according to News 5 media partner at Canton Repository.

The controversial equipment is now a topic of conversation for Stark County Commissioners, according to an articlefrom the Canton Repository. The article said people are calling the three county commissioners asking them to vet the Dominion Voting Systems they're expected to buy.

According to an agenda for the Board of Stark County Commissioners, there is a work session scheduled for Tuesday, Feb 2 at 10 a.m. where the board will hear the recommendations of the Board of Elections regarding the new voting equipment.
