GREEN, Ohio — The city of Green has canceled events planned in May and June due to COVID-19 concerns.
The following events have been canceled following guidance from the Summit County Health Department and the Ohio Department of Health:
- Memorial Day Festivities: Parade, Ceremony, Community Picnic and Car Show—May 25
- Green’s Annual FreedomFest at Boettler Park— June 27
- All Green Parks and Recreation Summer Day Camps—June 8 - Aug. 7
- Children’s Entertainment Series dates in June—June 4, 11, 18 and 25
- New rentals for any Green Park Pavilion, Central Park Community Hall and John Torok Community Center will not be accepted until further notice. All existing reservations that are canceled will be refunded. The current State of Ohio restriction for gatherings is no more than 10 people.
- The Central Park Splash Pad will remain closed at least through June 30
- Yoga in the Park dates in June are canceled
Events scheduled for July and later will be reevaluated at a later time, the city said.
