Cuyahoga Falls cancels several summer events, programs

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Due to the spread of COVID-19 across the state of Ohio, the city of Cuyahoga Falls has canceled several of its summer events and programs.

The following events have been canceled:

  • Riverfront Irish Festival (June 12-14)
  • Festa Italiana, (July 17-19)
  • Falls Downtown Fridays
  • Farmers' Market in the Falls
  • Flicks on the Falls
  • Keyser Concert Series
  • Kids' Carnival
  • Mobile Rec Park Schedule
  • Safety Town
  • Touch a Truck

"Following the guidance of Governor DeWine and state and local health officials, we have made the difficult decision to cancel large-scale public gatherings scheduled for spring and summer 2020," said Mayor Don Walters. "The health and safety of our residents and visitors to our city are our priority. We look forward to the time when we can safely gather together as friends and neighbors."

The city of Cuyahoga Falls said that plans for virtual events and programming for the summer are in the works.
